Reviewing System

After some discussion with my partner in crime over the Holidays (discussion....) I've decided to change some of the criteria for how we review the games as well.
Melancholics argument for the change of Value was that game values are constantly changing and hence a review will quickly be out of date if we are going base one of the criteria on price and the bang per buck value. Hence I'll be changing that field to 'Challenge' to reflect how difficult the game is. If the game is easy, it will be scored low and if it is hard, then obviously it will be scored high.
The other arguement was that Gameplay should be changed to lastability. Essentially Gameplay broken down is just difficulty of the video game and how much time you'll spend playing it. So its kinda silly to have Gameplay as a whole element in there, instead reducing it down a bit. So video games that a person could say finish within a week and never play again (eg Duke Nukem Forever...sigh worst money spent) versus would be given a low Lastability rating. Pokemon Red version on the original Gameboy which i've sunk 200+ hours of my life into and it multiplayer would be given a high mark on the lastability criteria.

So the old criteria looked like this:
Graphics/Sound-Audio/Gameplay/Value/Originality

The new criteria looks like this:
Graphics/Sound-Audio/Challenge/Lastability/Originality

On that note as well, I'm currently finishing up my first review for the website, which is of the video game Borderlands after sinking 20 hours + into it these holidays. One of the things I did not account for when i wrote the original schedule for reviewing the video games was how long it would take to give a accurate review on a title.

Infact that was one of the rumored reasons the ABC sacked Junglist on the TV show Good Game. Because he wanted more time to play and write his reviews. If I can find it by tomorrow I'll reference the Good Game review schedule in my speech to the class regarding the update of my progress and what I have ran into. At this stage I'd rather one weeks worth of solid content then 3 weeks worth of watered down content with poorly written reviews.
